Algebra 1 (and 8th grade math)

Algebra 1 is the foundation for most courses that follow it, in high school and very often in college. It is widely considered a gatekeeper course.

Algebra 1 content is covered in 6th, 7th, and especially 8th grade. If your student struggled with math in middle school, algebra 1 can be very challenging.
